MzeroA.com Flight Training Scholarship $1,500

Purpose:

With this scholarship, MzeroA.com provides online flight training to prepare a candidate for either the private, instrument, or commercial written and oral exams.

Eligibility:

Any flight training student who has yet to take the private, instrument or commercial written and oral exams.

Value:

Three $1,500 scholarships are available

Application Submission Process and Completion Date:

Application must be completed by January 31, 2016. The following requirements must be met to apply for this scholarship:

Submit a video titled “Your Name – MzeroA.com Scholarship WAI 2016” Tell us why you fly or want to fly

Two one-page recommendation letters (originals – not photocopies)
Typed, descriptive 500-word essay
Professional Resume
Copies of all aviation and medical certificates and the last three pages of your pilot logbook (if applicable)
Include in your essay and resume the following:
- Aviation history and goals
- What you have done for yourself to achieve your goals
- Where you see yourself in 5-10 years
- How the scholarship will help you achieve your objective and your present financial need
- educational scholarships, awards, and honors
- flight or other training/education for which you need assistance; how your previous training was financed
- where you would obtain the training and the hourly rate for the instructor, aircraft, and simulators, or
- other costs, if applying for a cash scholarship
- demonstrated involvement in aviation activities
- other applicable information as required for each specific award/grant/scholarship

Selection Process:

Applicants will be chosen on individual merit, ability to set goals and a demonstrated commitment to flight training.

WAI Application

History/Background:

The MzeroA.com scholarship is designed to provide assistance to students who are still in the flight training process. Additionally, the scholarship includes access to the WAI 2016 conference as well as the workshops and courses. The goal is to provide the recipient with the opportunity to network with other aviation professionals and provide a platform to advance their aviation career.
