Air Line Pilots Association Scholarship Program

Purpose:

One annual undergraduate scholarship open to children of deceased or medically retired ALPA pilots (not limited to aviation-related major).

Eligibility:

Eligible applicants are sons or daughters of medically retired, long-term disabled or deceased pilot members of the Air Line Pilots Association. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA

Selection(s) are made by no later than July of each year.

Selection Process:

Both academic capability and financial need are given appropriate consideration. Although the program envisions selection of a student enrolling as a college freshman, eligible individuals who are already enrolled in college may also apply. The student must be enrolled in a program of studies principally creditable toward a baccalaureate degree.

Application:

Applications for the scholarship should not be submitted prior to an applicant’s senior year in high school and preferably after the first semester of that senior year.
