Testimonials

I don’t subscribe to the current fad about following your passions. Without purpose, passion is likely to flash and burn out. However, finding someone who has a purpose that adds value and seeing him act to share that purpose and passion is quite a different story. It’s the kind of passion that adds authority to his leadership by demonstrating the authenticity of his followership.

In other words, it’s easier to follow someone when you can see evidence that they are following a cause, something or someone you already believe in. Carl Valeri of ExpertAviator.com and AviationCareerPodcasts.com is that kind of person.

Carl has done a million things in his short life–run businesses, flown for an airline, helped furloughed pilots, and now is sharing his passion for aviation by interviewing all kinds of aviation professionals on his podcast.

One of the first things he said to me was, “this is a family show, so please don’t swear during the recording of this podcast.” That takes courage. I’m sure he’s had people call him names or not finish the interview. I’m delighted that the content he is producing is something my thirteen year old son can listen to–I don’t like to recommend podcasts, books, etc., that I could not share with my son. So thanks, Carl, for the professional quality of what you are sharing and the family values you promote.

There’s another thing I like about this particular podcast — it showcases the success of others in a variety of other aviation fields. I like to hear what others have done to overcome obstacles and reach for their dreams. Success principles seem to apply widely, and there are many to glean in these podcasts.

Went to give the Aviation Careers Podcast a listen – not at all what I expected. I thought it would be a help-wanted board, or overrun with union vs airline stories like many other places. Not so at all! Great breadth of subject and very professionally done!!

Just as important, you will find inspiration and motivation to go out and find your aviation career. Take time to go back and listen to all the episodes; there is something to be learned in each one.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I’ve listened to some stories and think, “man love to do that.” But I’ve been blessed with an amazing aviation career as well.

I also find that in the lives of successful people their common elements, and hearing how these guests succeed gave me insight on how to keep moving forward in my life as well.

I really think what Carl is doing is a great idea, and he is doing a great job of it.

Okay, we’re a little slack on getting podcasts up on a regular basis. But hey, we’ve got stuff to do, ya’ know?

We still love the podcast technology in any case. And we’re particularly loving the team from Aviation Careers Podcast, most specifically a great guy named Carl Valeri who took the time to track down Jamie and put him on the air over at the ACP site. They talked about all sorts of aviation career oriented topics. And that’s just scratching the surface of what the ACP kids can do. So give them a peek, listen in if you’ve got a hankering to find out more about jobs in aviation and the people who fill them.

We’re sure you’ll enjoy the visit, and you just might learn something in the process. We sure did!

There are plenty of podcasts out there on the Internet. Some of them are interesting and some of them aren’t. We’re fans of several podcasts, and we’re perfectly happy to live in the big digital pool of entertainment and education with them.

On Monday (yesterday) Jamie had the great honor of being a guest on an upcoming episode of the Aviation Careers Podcast, and spend some time with the host of that podcast, Carl Valeri. As usual, the conversation went on considerably longer than the recording would suggest. But Carl is our kind of guy. He’s the real deal. An airline pilot, a flight instructor, and a regular Joe who just flat out loves airplanes and the people who fly them, fuel them, fix them, and admire them. He’s a great advocate for aviation, and a real asset to the general aviation community.

We hope you’ll take a quick stroll over to the Aviation Careers Podcast page and poke around a bit. And we encourage you to listen to the podcasts that you find there. Carl is popping them up at a feverish pace, which is surprising considering the excellent quality of the recordings and the content. He’s well prepared, covers a lot of ground, and really makes it all look so easy. But as anyone who has ever produced a podcast knows, it’s not always quite as easy as it looks (or sounds) to put together a truly worthwhile episode.

Carl’s got our vote for the best new podcast in the business. He’s headed in the right direction and doing a great job. So listen in. Heck, even listen to the episodes that have nothing to do with us…because they all have something to do with you. And you’re more important than we are, every single time.

Podcast on, Mr. V. You’ve really got something there.

While I listen to a number of aviation podcasts, none really focus on the aviation industry and specifically job opportunities. Your insight based on your diverse experience is very valuable. I hear all the time, how do we get people involved in aviation? Well a big obstacle is information on the variety of jobs associated with aviation. No everybody wants to or can be a pilot. Your podcast will hopefully open some eyes so that a person can have their cake  and eat it too. Namely, combining their passion for aviation with a means of providing for their family. Thanks and forward to future podcasts.
