EAA Air Academy Campership: 339th Fighter Group Scholarship

Purpose:

To provide children 12-18 an opportunity to learn about flight and the basic to advanced principles of flying an airplane

Eligibility:

Applicants should be well-rounded, involved in school and community activities as well as aviation. Academic records should show that you can successfully complete the educational activity for which you are applying. Please check individual scholarship descriptions for any special considerations.

You must be a current EAA member or recommended by a current EAA member to apply for these scholarships.

Value:

Provides from 50% to full tuition to attend an EAA Air Academy session

Application Submission Process and Completion Date:

Submissions are completed online and must be done prior to the start of the summer camp.

Selection Process:

Awards are determined by the board based on financial need.

History/Background:

Established in tribute to the 339th Fighter Group of World War II by Lt. Colonel Lee D. “Ike” Eisenhart, one of the squadron’s P-51 “Mustang” pilots and devoted EAA member.
