Johnny Davis Memorial Scholarship

Purpose:

Since its inception, the AEA Educational Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million to students seeking careers in the aircraft electronics and aviation maintenance industry, as well as technicians from AEA member companies.

Eligibility:

This scholarship is available to high school seniors and/or college students who plan to or are attending an accredited school in an avionics or aircraft repair program.

Value:

$1,000.00

Application Submission Process and Completion Date:

• A completed and signed application form
• An official transcript (or valid copy)
• Answers to both application “QUESTIONS” (below)
• One 300-word type-written “ESSAY”
• Your application must be sent, complete with your transcript, questions, and essay to the AEA Educational Foundation.
• Applications received without complete information will not be considered.
• Transcripts sent separately from applications will not be accepted.
• Applications due April 1st.

Selection Process:

Winners will be announced in May. Scholarship monies will be disbursed July.

History/Background:

Named in memory of Johnny Davis, president of Dallas Avionics, Dallas, Texas, who supported general aviation for more than 30 years and served as an AEA Associate board member.
